What's Involved?

The Architecture and Design process is comprised of four steps:

Assessment of Network Requirements: This phase determines the business requirements, critical success factors and information from network analysis. It also identifies future requirements in order to accommodate anticipated network demands, making your network adaptable for growth or the addition of new technologies later on.

Network Conceptual/Logical Design: This phase includes all relevant requirements, such as the development of network topologies, bandwidth sizing, disaster recovery, migration strategy, backup and recovery and development/operational environments. It also includes support structures, such as network management and help desk functions.

Network Physical Design: This phase includes the selection of network components, equipment configuration, bandwidth allocation, and redundancy designs.

Network Integration and Validation: This phase confirms the physical design recommendation by verifying the configuration and selection of equipment. This important analysis should address any potential engineering changes that result from the configuration validation before implementation.
